Kamae is a Mac menu bar app that watches your posture through your camera and gently tells you when you start to slump. Set a three-second baseline of your own good posture, glance at the menu bar now and then, and let the intermittent sampling do the rest — the camera opens for about one second every thirty seconds by default (more often while you are slumped, less often on battery), then closes. Each frame is reduced to three numbers — neck drop, lean-in, and shoulder tilt — compared with your own baseline, and discarded. Nothing is saved and nothing is uploaded. There is no Kamae server, no account, and no analytics. Kamae costs US$19 once, with a year of updates, a 14-day free trial, and one license that covers up to 2 Macs. Apple silicon only, on macOS 11 Big Sur or later. Built by FUNBREW Inc. in Japan.

Features
- Intermittent camera sampling. The camera opens for about one second every thirty seconds by default, so the camera light blinks instead of staying on — and battery and CPU stay low.
- Three-number posture metric. Neck drop, lean-in, and shoulder tilt compared against your own baseline — not someone else's.
- 45-minute stand reminder. A gentle nudge to leave the desk after every 45 minutes of sitting.
- Daily routine with a streak. A short checklist of stretches or exercises, done from the menu bar in one click.
- Weekly recap card. Numbers only — never a photo of you — exportable as an image to share.
